Aspiring Law Students Invited to Get Tips from Kaplan, Deans

UVU students interested in pursuing a law degree are invited to attend the 2009 Spring Dean’s Night this Wednesday, March 25 in the Sorensen Student Center, conference room 206ABC. Representatives from Kaplan and ACE LSAT Prep will advise on how best to prepare for the LSAT, and law school deans from Brigham Young University and the University of Wyoming will be available to answer questions.

The Dean’s Night event is designed to help aspiring law students prepare by going through mock admissions exercises, receiving tips on application and test preparation, and talking one-on-one with the law school deans.

"The purpose of the Dean's Night is to get students familiar with what school look at when they receive an application," said Zachary Davis of UVU’s Pre-Law Club. "Unlike other ‘law fair’ type events this is much more intimate, with fewer schools and more one-on-one time."

The UVU Pre-Law Club provides other resources for potential law school students including seminars, workshops, practice groups and mentor networking. Family members and friends of prospective future law students are welcome to attend the Dean’s Night. Refreshments will be served.
