"Senator Hatch enjoys meeting with the students, faculty and community," said Elaine Englehardt, UVU distinguished professor and special assistant to the president. "He’s been a very strong supporter of UVU, particularly in the process of attaining university status and in getting legislative appropriations for important projects on campus."
In addition to being extremely supportive during UVU’s road to university status, Hatch has assisted the University by garnering support for the nursing program, leadership program and Turning Point, a program that helps single parents get back into school. He has visited the campus yearly to address the student body, faculty and community for the past eight years.
