The Reed & Christine Halladay Executive Lecture Series will feature Leah Barker, executive director of Children First Utah, this Thursday, April 9 in the Ragan Theater. The presentation will begin at noon.
Children First Utah is a nonprofit organization that offers children from low-income families equal access to quality education opportunities. Barker has been instrumental in advocating for programs that benefit low-income families. She is a graduate of the executive master in public administration program at the University of Utah, where she also teaches a diversity course on ethnic minority families.
The Woodbury School of Business hosts the weekly Executive Lecture Series. It brings fascinating successful business and community leaders to UVU to share their business experiences and make recommendations to students as they prepare for their careers. The event is free and is open to all students, to the faculty and to the public.
