Rick Woodbury, President and CEO of Woodbury Corporation, will be at UVU to kick-off the Executive Lecture Series as the first speaker of the school year. Woodbury’s lecture is September 4 at noon in the Ragan Theater located in the Sorensen Center.
“Rick Woodbury is a very successful business person. We are pleased to have him share his wealth of knowledge and experiences with our students,” said Ian Wilson, dean for the Woodbury School of Business. “He is a good friend of the School of Business and is very supportive of UVU.”
Woodbury’s grandfather, F. Orin Woodbury, founded Woodbury Corp. in 1919, one of the oldest and most respected commercial real estate companies in the Mountain West. The Woodbury family has been supportive of UVU and recently donated $20 million to the Woodbury School of Business, making their donation the largest single gift UVU has received to date. “We couldn’t ask for a better family to be connected with,” said Wilson.
The Reed and Christine Halladay Executive Lecture Series is a series of weekly speakers who come from a variety of business backgrounds. They share their experiences and what they have learned in the business world. “It’s an opportunity for students to get practical exposure and learn about business from the business world,” said Wilson.
The lectures are held Thursdays at noon and are free and open to the
public.
