Kip Meacham, vice president of Salt Lake City-based Card Access, Inc., will speak Sept. 11 at 12 p.m. at UVU’s Ragan Theater as part of the Woodbury School of Business’s Executive Lecture Series.
Meacham will speak on the topic, “"What Do You Want to be When You Grow Up?"
“It’s an examination of the question both companies and individuals must ask of themselves,” said Meacham.
The topic will be studied based on Meacham’s own experience of more than 20 years in the information technology field. After attending Utah State University, Meacham worked for multiple start-up companies, as well as companies such as Megahertz Corporation, 3Com Corporation and PowerQuest before he began at Card Access, Inc., a privately held developer of wireless communications products. As vice president of marketing, Meacham runs product strategy, technology marketing and public relations.
Meacham also served as an elected member of the Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group (PCI-SIG) Steering Committee, chairman of the PCI-SIG Marketing Workgroup and was one of the principal authors of the Mini PCI Specification, which is used in more than 400 million notebook computers. He has extensive experience working in international markets, with a focus in Asia.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
