Klune Industries Donates to UVU's School of Continuing Education

Klune Industries, Inc., a California-based manufacturer of parts for commercial and military aircraft and missile systems with two facilities in Spanish Fork, Utah, will make a donation to UVU’s School of Continuing Education on August 7. The presentation will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the north entrance of UVU’s new library and will be attended by representatives of Klune Industries, Inc. and representatives from UVU.

The donation from Klune is in appreciation of their partnership with the School of Continuing Education, which is providing training for Klune’s management and manufacturing employees. The donation, an American Chariot, is a new a three-wheeled personal transportation vehicle manufactured by Klune and was donated to help School of Continuing Education staff members travel between their offices and UVU’s main campus. Klune also manufactures parts for many Fortune 50 aerospace manufacturing companies.

“Klune’s Utah manufacturing facilities have about $80 million in annual revenues,” said Diana Hunter, assistant dean for UVU’s School of Continuing Education. “This is their first donation to UVU. It’s a brand-new product and very nice. We are excited to have the chariot to get around campus.”

UVU currently offers an apprenticeship program that helps train employees of Klune Industries, Inc. Klune is a high-tech company in a high-growth mode with an ongoing need for technically trained employees.
