Cultural Diversity in Utah Discussed at Ethics Forum

UVSC will hold its Monthly Ethics Forum Nov. 7 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Faculty Seminar Room (LC243).

Ross L. Olsen, executive director of the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, will speak on “Appreciating the Breath and Depth of Cultural Diversity in Northern Utah.”

Olsen, representing West Valley, one of the most diverse cities in Utah, will be speaking on the many cultural heritages and hidden diversity that northern Utah has to offer. The varieties of languages in the state, art, music and similarities we have in common with other ethnicities will be addressed.

“I’m very passionate about different communities and learning how each one fits in,” said Olsen. “This will be a great event to look outside the box and learn about different cultures within our state.”

The event is free and open to the public.
