On Thursday, October 4, UVSC Career Services and Student Employment will hold an Internship and Career Fair in UVSC’s Grande Ballroom. The fair will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will have representatives from more than 80 companies, offering opportunities for both full-time employment and for internships.
The Internship and Career Fair is held twice a year—once in fall semester and once in winter semester—and is an excellent way for students to get started on their futures. “We want to get students into the real work world. This is a great networking opportunity,” said Michael Snapp, director of career services. A few of the companies that will be represented include Convergys, Intermountain Healthcare, Novell and Wells Fargo.
Because the fair frequently acts as students’ first interviews with the companies represented, students should dress professionally and bring a resume. Snapp encourages students to stop by UVSC’s Career Services and Student Employment for help preparing a new resume or polishing an old one.
The Internship and Career Fair is free and open to all UVSC students.
