UVSC Aviation Program to Hold Annual Student Welcome
On August 31, the UVSC aviation program will host the annual “Back to School” barbeque for new, existing and prospective flight students. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Provo airport in the UVSC hanger.
Students that attend the barbeque will have the opportunity to meet the staff and faculty of the aviation program, as well as fellow students. They will also have the chance to learn more about the aviation program and what UVSC has to offer.
“This event is our way of saying have a great 2006-2007 school year,” said Kenny Downing, Director of marketing for the aviation program. “The barbeque will be a great opportunity for new students to learn more about the program.”
Students in the aviation program at UVSC have many opportunities for hands on training in flight. Students utilize state of the art equipment, and will soon be able to use the new flight simulator center located in the south UVSC hangar.
