UVSC Fall Student Art Show Features Variety of Media
Utah Valley State College’s Fall Student Art Show, “Who We Are – Self Portraits” is on display in the College’s Library Art Gallery on the fourth floor of the Losee Center through November 30. The exhibit, a showcase of students’ self portraits, features the art of advanced students and beginners.
Showcasing a variety of media, the exhibit includes: graphics, photography, illustration, 3-D sculpture, collage, oil and water painting.
“The portraits are all very personal and it’s interesting to see the different ways that people perceive themselves,” said Keith Rowley, technical services librarian at UVSC. “It seems to be a very popular show.”
The exhibit can be viewed anytime during regular library hours: Monday – Thursday 7a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For the Thanksgiving holiday the library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 22 and 25 and closed November 23 – 24.
