The Center for the Advancement of Leadership (CAL) and UVSC Conferences and Workshops present the 7th Annual Leadership Conference Tuesday, October 3 from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UVSC McKay Events Center. The conference theme is, “The Power of Influence,” featuring world-renowned keynote speaker Dr. Stephen R. Covey and Dr. Margaret Wheatley. The conference is free and open to all high schools, private schools, colleges, universities, businesses and members of the community, as well as UVSC students, faculty and staff.

“The annual leadership conference just keeps getting bigger and better each year,” said Dr. Bruce Jackson, director of CAL. “We are thrilled to host this event and look forward to all in attendance gaining greater insight into each individual’s power to influence for good from doctors Covey and Wheatley. The Conference is a wonderful public manifestation of the goals and accomplishments of the Center.”

In addition to the keynote speakers, the conference also features more than 20 focused breakout sessions covering a variety of personal and interpersonal skills. Breakout sessions cover everything from achieving optimal performance and successful relationships to crucial conversation skills and leadership lessons from experienced professionals.
